Under general direction of the Building Official, performs technical work of considerable difficulty in inspecting all mechanical installations. Conducts inspections for compliance with the South Florida Building Codes and other City codes and requirements. Duties require skilled technical examinations and the application of standard trade practices to inspection work. Work performed with little direct supervision and includes the direction and supervision of performance of subordinate inspectors. Work is reviewed through written and oral reports and occasional re-inspections. Performs other work as requested.
Certification by the Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals as required by the South Florida Building Codes. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.
