GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Under general supervision, the position performs inside and outside construction and maintenance of City facilities. Employees in this classification perform skilled construction/repair work. Position is responsible for ordering materials and performing outdoor construction. Performs related work as directed.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by minimum three (3) years previous experience and/or training involving a construction trade; 30 credit hours of college will substitute for one (1) year of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Special Requirements:
Florida CDL Class B
Basic Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification
Must possess two (2) of the following certifications and obtain another two (2) within one (1) year of hire based on the needs of the department:
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Intermediate
Heavy Equipment Certification
Fertilizing
Right-of-Way
FWPCOA Level C Stormwater Aquatics
Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Pesticide Public Applicator License
FWPCOA Level C Stormwater Certification
