GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Under general supervision of the PALS Director, the purpose of this position is to provide supervision for drivers in our demand system.  Employees in this position dispatch drivers via radio/other equipment to meet the changing needs of residents utilizing the service.  The incumbent works within the scope of established departmental rules, regulations and procedures, but exercises independent judgment in coordinating efforts to resolve field problems and handle emergencies.  Performs related duties as directed.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Degree or G.E.D. equivalency; two (2) years of experience as a Dispatcher and two (2) years driving a 45 passenger commercial vehicle. Must be computer literate.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Florida State Driver’s License
Florida Commercial Driver’s License, Class B with “P” endorsement
