GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Under general supervision, the position maintains water treatment plant systems and equipment.
Employees in this classification perform skilled maintenance work. Position is responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of water treatment plant systems and equipment. Perform related work as directed.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training in mechanical maintenance or related trade; supplemented by up to two (2) years previous experience and/or training involving water treatment plant systems maintenance or related work; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Water Distribution System Operator Class 3 License.
Valid State of Florida Driver’s License
Must obtain within one year from date of hire:
State of Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class “B”
