GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Under regular supervision, installs, inspects, maintains and repairs the City water distribution system and wastewater systems, and related appurtenances. Observes all safety precautions as required. Performs related duties as directed.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED; supplemented by at least one (1) year previous experience in water or wastewater system maintenance; plumbing; utilities construction; or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Special Requirement (must be obtained within one (1) year from date of hire)
State of Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class “B”
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT Certification) - Basic
Must obtain within two years from date of hire:
Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Water Distribution System Operator Class 3 License or a Florida Water and Pollutions Control Operators Association “Class C” Certification in Wastewater Collections
