Arbor Day Photo Contest

Celebrating Arbor Day 2017, Vice Mayor Ken Thurston is proud to announce his first Arbor Day Photo Contest! The theme for the Photo Contest is “Lauderhill’s Beauty – Through Your Eyes!” Winners will be given fruit trees and be recognized at the Commission Meeting on April 24, 2017. The deadline to submit your photo is April 19, 2017. Please contact 954-777-2040 for more information or e-mail your photo submission to Lexie Hall.

Jammin' in the Park & Art Fest

Commissioner M. Margaret Bates and the City of Lauderhill are proud to present the 5th Annual Jammin' in the Park & Art Fest starring Rose Royce. Please join us for live music, arts and crafts and family fun. Food trucks and drinks will also be available. The event will be held at Ilene Lieberman Botanical Gardens on Saturday, April 22, 2017 beginning at 4pm.

With the school year almost over, now is the time to sign up for Summer Camp before all spaces fill up! This year, the City is offering camps at four locations: John Mullin Park, St. George Park, Veterans Park, and West Ken Lark Park. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Program


The MLK Taskforce and the City of Lauderhill present the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Program. Lauderhill Residents that are High School graduating seniors are eligible to apply. Three (3) $500 scholarships are available. Deadline is April 24, 2017. APPLY TODAY!

9th Annual Throwback Golf Tournament

For the past nine years, the ThrowBack Celebrity Golf Weekend has recaptured the City of Lauderhill’s rich golf history. Each year with the support of many, ThrowBack and Fore Life, Inc. has gotten bigger and better. With a full field of over 200 golfers from all over the country, this unique event is perfect for a corporate outing; sales meeting or just for a not-so-simple golf get-away. ThrowBack Weekend combines entertainment with some great golf on challenging courses, fabulous down-home southern cuisine, fun and a first class good time! All of this for an affordable donation to a very relevant cause. Be sure to join us for the fun!



Family Safety Day


The Parks and Leisure Services Department would like to invite you to our 3rd Annual Family Safety Day Event on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 from 12pm to 5pm at the Lauderhill Aquatic Center at John Mullin Park. The City of Lauderhill’s Police Department, Fire Rescue Department and Parks and Leisure Services Department are partnering together to provide a one day fun event for the entire family. The event will promote our Watch Out Now Program that the City is initiating to prevent accidental deaths and injury to children under the ages of 4 due to drowning, sleep accidents, and car accidents. The day will provide a bunch of interactive activities for the entire family, raffle give-a-ways, and many educational activities designed to educate families on water safety, car safety, and crib safety. A Tribute to the Eagles Concert

Mayor Richard J. Kaplan and the City of Lauderhill are proud to present the final tribute concert of the 2017 season. Please join us for live music and family fun with "A Tribute to the Eagles" by the Alter Eagles. The concert will be held at the Lauderhill Sports Park on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 7:00pm.

Programming for ALL AGES!

PALS offers a variety of programming for all ages! Join us for one of the many options available to you. From youth programming like dance at St. George Park, music lessons at West Ken Lark Park, and dance at Veterans Park to adult fitness classes at Sadkin, Judo at Veterans Park, or Senior programming at Sadkin, all of our locations offer many different programs for you to enjoy.
