NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY OF LAUDERHILL is seeking sealed bids for the following work as specified:

CITY OF LAUDERHILL - LAUDERHILL PARK LIGHTING UPGRADE

HERBERT SADKIN COMMUNITY CENTER

JACKIE GLEASON PARK

JOHN MULLINS AQUATIC CENTER

LAUDERHILL GOLF CLUBHOUSE

BID NUMBER: # 2017-015

The City of Lauderhill will be accepting sealed proposals until 10:45 A.M. on, June 7, 2017 to be opened at 11:00 A.M. in Room 401, City Hall, 5581 West Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill, Florida 33313. Bids received after 10:45 A.M. EST will not be considered and will be returned to the bidder unopened.

In general, the work includes but not limited to: site preparation, replacement of the parking lot lighting system, installation of pedestrian lighting systems where applicable, installation of basketball court lighting where applicable, removal/demolition of the existing light pole/fixtures wiring and conduits, electrical panel and associated incidentals, excavation and backfilling, installation of new light fixtures, light poles, pole bases, wiring, conduit, lighting controls, replacement/modifications to existing electrical panel and all incidentals required for a fully operational parking lot lighting system, pedestrian walkway lighting system and Sports lighting system where applicable. All work shall be coordinated with related work for the installation of said equipment. Project is located at:

1. Herbert Sadkin Community Center – 1176 NW 42 Way, Lauderhill, FL 33313

2. Jackie Gleason Park. - 7260 NW 52nd Street, Lauderhill, FL 33319

3. John Mullins Aquatic Center - 2000 NW 55th Street, Lauderhill, FL 33313

4. Lauderhill Golf Club House - 4141 NW 16th Street, Lauderhill, FL 33313

Bids will be based on A GRAND TOTAL BASIS OF THE LISTED ITEMS. Bids based on a portion of the work will not be considered.

Contract Documents may be examined and obtained on and after May 9, 2017 for a fee of $100.00 at the Purchasing Office, 5581 West Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill, Florida 33313 (954) 730-3044. The cutoff date to obtain the contract documents is 7 days prior to the bid date or May 2, 2017.

An original and three (3) copies and a pdf file of the bid must be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing the words "CITY OF LAUDERHILL PARK LIGHTING UPGRADE – HERBERT SADKIN COMMUNITY CENTER, JACKIE GLEASON PARK, JOHN MULLINS AQUATIC CENTER & LAUDERHILL GOLF CLUBHOUSE – BID # 2017-015" and should be hand-delivered or mailed to City Clerk’s Office, Suite 421, City of Lauderhill, 5581 W. Oakland Park Blvd. Lauderhill, Florida 33313. E-mailed and faxed proposals will not be accepted.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:30 A.M. on May 16, 2017 in Room 135 at City of Lauderhill, City Hall, 5581 West Oakland Park Boulevard, FL 33313. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond

or certified check made payable to the "Isles/Safe Neighborhood District", in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, will be required. Bidder must use Bid Bond form provided. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Guaranty Bonds in the form of a 100% Construction Performance Bond and a 100% Construction Payment Bond will be required.

The Public Entity Crimes Affidavit and Trench Safety Form must be completed in its entirety and submitted as part of the bid.

The District Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities or irregularities and to accept or reject all or any part of any bid as they may deem to be in the interest of the citizens of the District. "The winning bidder is required to enter into a contract with the District."
