The following information is required for a licensed contractor to acquire a building permit for the City of Lauderhill:

  1. State Certified Contractors - Copy of Certification

  2. Broward County Certified Contractors
          - Copy of Certificate of Competency

  3. Copy of State Registration

  4. Occupational License

  5. State Certified Contractors
          - City or County Occupational License

  6. Broward County Certified Contractors

  7. Both City and County Occupational License

  8. Liability Insurance

  9. Workers Compensation Insurance

  10. Building Permit Application

    1. Complete job address with legal description

    2. Lot, Block, Sub-Division, Folio number/ tax Identification number

    3. Sub-contractors permit application

When applicable must be submitted at time of Primary permit holders submittal

  1. Plans

  2. Two Complete Sets of Architectural/Engineered Sealed Drawings

  3. Commercial /Residential Room Addition, alteration must be reviewed by D.P.E.P.
    - ALL APPROPRIATE STAMPS ON PLANS AND DEVELOPMENT REVIEW FORM MUST BE ATTACHED

  4. Product Approval on all Exterior Door, Windows, Shingle, & Flat Roofs
     

  • Projects over $2500.00 must be accompanied by both Notice of Commencement and a copy of contract between owner & contractor

  • All applications must be notarized.
    (Applications needing our notary service must have a valid State of Florida Drivers License )
     

FEES

A processing fee starting at $25.00 is due at the time of submittal. The processing fees vary by size and value of the job. See Lauderhill City Code of Ordinances for the fee schedule.

Permit fees vary with the type of permit, size of building, and other variables and are due at the time the permit is issued.
