NEWS FROM VICE MAYOR BATES

Top of the hill, Lauderhill--. We
did it!! Lauderhill is an All America City for 2005 and always. Those who
participated in the presentation know what “Top of the hill, Lauderhill” means.
Thank you again for your participation.
Happy Holidays to all. To our new
neighbors, St. George, West Ken Lark and the Swap Shop who are now a part of us,
“Lauderhillians,” WELCOME! Make yourselves at home and join us at our Commission
Meetings, which are held on the second and last Monday night of each month, at
City Hall, 7:00 p.m. Now that Broward Estates is contiguous to our borders, we
can legally begin dialogue with them about becoming a part of us. The synergy in
our city is becoming contagious and it’s all because of the greatest group of
people on earth— Lauderhill’s residents. Thank you!
Wanted ! Wanted ! Residents
interested in becoming a part of a Public Art Board. Last year I sponsored an
Ordinance to establish a Public Art Fee and Public Art Fund to support Public
Art in the City of Lauderhill. The Public Art Program would help to create a
sense of community identity and give our residents and visitors to our city a
variety of cultural experiences. The Board’s purpose would be to research and
make recommendations to the Commission on selected artwork suitable for our
City. Send your resumes to the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, Attention:
Public Art Board.
Looking forward to continuing my
work with you.
