Rehabilitate rather than build new. Old buildings contain an enormous amount of embodied energy. That is energy that was expended at the time that they were originally built. The retention and reuse of older and historic buildings preserves the materials, energy, and human capital already expended in their construction.
Comply with Lauderhill's irrigation and lighting ordinances to conserve water, electricity, and reduce lighting pollution.
