The Lauderhill Inclusive Entrepreneurship Program is a 10 week in-person class seeking to help bring formerly incarcerated entrepreneurs into the formal economy and provide them with the resources that they
need to START OR GROW their business in the City of Lauderhill. Local business leaders and City Officials will be your instructors and live weekly Question & Answer sessions will be available to you.
The 10 week in-person program will include:
EDUCATION: Courses recorded by volunteer experts and supplemented by real life success stories. Topics include business planning, marketing, finance, access to capital, social media, customer service, CEO mindset, doing business with
government, and city resources.
PROCESS NAVIGATION: Each student is assigned a Business Concierge that will walk them through the process of obtaining a business license in the City of Lauderhill.
ACCESS TO CAPITAL: Seed funding to cover some of cost associated with obtaining a business license (Certificate of Use) in the City of Lauderhill.
COACHING: Each student is assigned a success coach that will help them cultivate their CEO mindset, access wrap-around community services as needed and navigate the challenges associated with being an entrepreneur.
MENTORSHIP: Each student is assigned a SCORE mentor that will provide entrepreneurial support.
RECOGNITION: Certificate of completion presented at a commission meeting that business owners may display in their business.
