2022-2023 Mayor's Chess Challenge
Mayor Ken Thurston hosted the 2022-2023 Mayor's Chess Challenge at Veterans Park (7600 NW 50th Street) on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Families, elected officials, and community leaders enjoyed a nice time in support of scholastic chess. For more information on the various other local City Mayor's Chess Challenge dates, please visit sunrisefl.gov/chess for schedule updates. Players receive a Mayors' Chess Challenge Passport so they can log their participation over the course of the school year. Those with perfect attendance will receive a prize at the end of the season.
