Competition Overview

The City of Lauderhill is making great efforts in its redevelopment of the Eastern CRA. Initiatives and programs, such as the Micro Loan Program, Commercial Facade Grant Program and the Business Improvement District, are helping instill a sense of pride, respect, and ownership within the City’s business community. We plan to continue this effort by hosting our very own Business Expo and Pitch Competition on March 16^th, 2022, from 1:30pm to 6:00 pm, at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center.

The Lauderhill Business Pitch competition provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to not only access funds that will affect the trajectory of their business, but also gain tremendous exposure from both potential funders and peers. Additionally, this competition offers entrepreneurs a chance to perfect their elevator pitch to use whenever a new opportunity arises that can change the dynamic of their business. The opportunity to make your entrepreneurship dreams a reality is here. Participants will compete for a chance to win cash prizes for their Lauderhill Business, with our grand prize of $25,000. We will also have monetary prizes for second place and third place. In addition to the monetary prizes, a fan favorite winner will be selected.  All winners will receive free technical assistance to grow their business.

Our winners will be chosen by local business professionals alongside ABC Shark Tank’s very own businessman, investor, author, and motivational speaker - Daymond John!
