Project 1: 38th Avenue

Revitalization of the warehouse corridor NW 38th Avenue starts in early 2020, when we begin construction to turn the area into our future downtown arts and entertainment district. The City's Economic Development Division hosts quarterly events in the area to create awareness of the district, and to create a sense of place and purpose to all those who visit. To learn more about our signature quarterly events or to become a vendor, please visit our Special Events section or email the Economic Development division.

Project 3: Lauderhill Market Place

The City of Lauderhill has plans to build a lifestyle center, hotel, parking garage, and beer garden, on the land adjacent to the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, coined the "Lauderhill Market Place". These designs will help compliment the Performing Arts Center, attract more visitors to the area, and bring more traffic to the surrounding businesses. This project is still in the planning phases and a date of completion is still to be determined. If you are interested in working on projects or selling services or goods to the City, register with us to get alerts and updates on all City projects out to bid.

Project 4: 38th Avenue Extension

The 38th Avenue Extension project is designed to extend the 38th Avenue corridor all the way to the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center. This design is intended to promote connectivity and encourage the Lauderhill visitors and patrons to not only see a show at the Performing Arts Center, but also drive down and explore the many shops and businesses located in our new Arts District. Our goal is to create a full immersive entertainment experience for all of those who visit the district. This project is still in the planning phases, and a date of completion is still to be determined. If you are interested in working on projects or selling services or goods to the City, register with us to get alerts and updates on all City projects out to bid.
