The Commercial Arts & Entertainment (CAE) District Special Event Pilot Program enables commercial business owners within the CAE to hold one (1) outdoor special event per week.
All outdoor events during the Special Event Pilot Program within the CAE require approval from The City of Lauderhill Administration. The Commercial Arts & Entertainment District is outlined below.
Please note the following terms regarding the Commercial Arts & Entertainment (CAE) Special Event Pilot Program:
The pilot program will run for a six (6) month period, ending June 30, 2024
- Business Owners are allowed to hold one (1) outdoor special event per week (Thursday through Sunday)
- Applications must be submitted at least thirty (30) days prior to the event
- Applicant must pay the Promotional License Fee of $150.00 + any required details Fire and Building Code inspections scheduled between Monday through Thursday 7:30 am -3:00 pm will not incur inspection fees
- (The $150 Promotional License Fee covers as many dates/events listed within the application. A separate fee is required for any separate applications submitted during the Pilot Program promotional period of six (6) months)

- Fire and Building Code inspections scheduled between Monday through Thursday 7:30 am -3:00 pm will not incur inspection fees
- Fire and Building Code inspections scheduled after 3 pm, Monday through Thursday will incur inspection fees
- *No outdoor music will be permitted at these events- If applicant wants to utilize a stage, have outdoor music, etc., they must fill out the City’s Special Event Application
- If more than one business plans to host an event on the same day, then those events must be filed as a joint application
