A paint permit is required prior to painting the exterior of any single family and duplex residential dwelling in the City of Lauderhill. Here are the directions to completing the Residential Paint Permit Application:

1. Select paint colors from the approved City of Lauderhill Residential Color Palette (also available at City Hall).

2. There are three paint color “Themes” to chose from:

3. Select only one paint color theme.

4. Select the paint colors with- in the chosen theme:

5. Complete the paint permit application. Provide the paint color identification information in the appropriate theme column for Walls (A), Trim (B), Door (C) and Garage Door (D).

6. Submit the completed paint permit application to City Hall, Planning & Zoning Department.

7. The application review process is usually completed within five to seven business days. You will be contacted upon completion.

8. If you are requesting free recycled paint (Beige, Off-white, Terracotta, & Grey colors available on a limited basis) as a part of the Broward County Hazardous Waste Program, please complete all the regular steps above and make note of your request when submitting the application to the Planning & Zoning Department.
