The Criminal Investigations Division provides support for the Road Patrol Division to accomplish our mission of making the city a safer place to live and work. The Criminal Investigations Division consists of three investigative sections that serve to support the Operations Division. The units are commanded by a Division Lieutenant and four Detective Sergeants. Criminal Investigations Division detectives conduct follow ups on Homicides, Aggravated Felonies, Fraud, Sexual Battery, and Missing Persons.

The Criminal Investigations Division also includes the Strategic Enforcement Team, which is a proactive unit that conducts investigations involving Vice, Intelligence, and Narcotics. This unit also investigates Burglaries, Robberies, and Auto Thefts.

The Crime Scene Unit assists detectives with crime scene and evidence processing.
