Program Description
The City of Lauderhill Small Business Enterprise Program is a City initiative to aid and assist the interests of small businesses in the City. This ensures that small businesses have a fair opportunity to participate in City contracts, preserve free competitive enterprise, and maintain and strengthen the overall economy of the City of Lauderhill. 

Who the Program is For
Program Eligibility

• Personal net worth per owner less than $1.32 million
• Firm/Business must be independent
• 15 or less permanent full-time employees
• Vendor must have a Broward Business Tax Receipt and be located in Broward County
• Business must be established for a period of one year prior to submitting its application
• Site visit by Office of Economic and Small Business Development 

Average Gross Revenues

• $3 Million - Construction Services (calculated over the previous three calendar years)
• $1 Million - Contractual Services (calculated over the previous three calendar years)
• $500,000 - Professional Consultants (calculated over the previous three calendar years)

Commodity Suppliers are not subject to gross revenue limitation.

As a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) we share solicitations with your company.

Program Services
When the City issues a solicitation that is anticipated to result in a contract with a value of less than Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000), the contract shall be reserved for SBEs, except those contracts that are otherwise ineligible pursuant to state or federal law. However, no contract shall be reserved for SBEs if it’s determined that there are fewer than two (2) certified SBEs available to perform the work required under the contract.

How to Apply
The City of Lauderhill automatically qualifies all business who have already received the Broward County Small Business Enterprise Certificate. Please apply with the county for participation and provide the City of Lauderhill with a copy of your County Certificate. 

After You Apply
Once certified by Broward County you will need to provide a copy of the certificate to the Purchasing Division at: purchasing@lauderhill-fl.gov
