As of today, direct aid to state and local governments is included in American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 that Congressional Democrats are moving through the reconciliation process. The House is expected to vote on the relief package this week!

Mr. Valcy called 9-1-1 as his car sunk into a canal, not knowing if he'd be reached. Lauderhill Fire Rescue rushed to find him, and their valiant effort saved his life. The firefighters of the story have been awarded for their bravery and determination. To them, they were just doing their job.

Tropical Storm Eta Updates
The National Weather Service has reported that South Florida should expect wind and rain at the end of this week and into the weekend from Tropical Storm Eta. Currently positioned in Central America, Eta is expected to cross Cuba Sunday and reach South Florida after.
Lauderhill Experiencing Rain Again This Weekend
The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Central Broward to include over a dozen and a half cities and communities. The Utilities Department reports the canal pumps are working to push water out to the ocean and have been on for several hours.
