Interested in a great summer job or challenging career as a professional lifeguard? The City of Lauderhill provides American Red Cross Lifeguard training courses. Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid, CPR/AED and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard. You must be at least 15 years old to sign-up for the course and be able to swim 300 meters consecutively without stopping.
Students who complete the course and meet specific City requirements are eligible to apply for a lifeguarding position with the City of Lauderhill. Please refer to the Human Resources Department for applications and job openings.
