The youth recreation soccer program is open to children ages 4-12 years old. The City also hosts a travel program (Lions) for children 7-18 years old. They practice and play their games at Veterans Park and the Lauderhill Sports Park.

This program focuses on academics and athletics while competing against local, regional, and national competition. All participants must maintain good grades and positive behavior in the classroom and on the field. Participants who do well in the classroom and on the field are eligible for scholarships through the City of Lauderhill's Sports Advancing Kids Education program.

Registration generally starts in December for the recreation program and the program normally is hosted from February through April. The cost is $100 per child (for Lauderhill residents) and $125 per child (for non-Lauderhill residents). There is a sibling discount of $10 off for each sibling registered at the same time. Official practices generally begin in February and the season generally lasts until May for the recreation program.
