Incentives Makes Water Conservation Easier

Water conservation is one of the City of Lauderhill’s top priorities and to help it become your priority, too, we became a participating member of the Broward Water Partnership’s Water Conservation and Incentives Program.

The Program provides rebates and free water-conserving devices to qualifying City of Lauderhill residents. Its community outreach and education component is designed to encourage year-round water conservation and help make conservation part of your daily routine.

Together we can reach our goal to save water, save money and the environment if you take advantage of the incentives and rebates and encourage your family, neighbors and friends to do so as well. Let’s make a difference and have the water we need for today and the future.

Our Program

We have the perfect incentives for qualifying City of Lauderhill residents to make water conservation a way of life by providing rebates and free water-conserving devices. Funding and supplies are limited so don’t delay. Read below to find out more details about how you can save water and money.

Rebates

Qualifying participants are encouraged to replace their current toilet(s) that use(s) more than 1.6 gallons of water per flush with WaterSense® certified High-Efficiency Toilets (HET). Rebates are provided for up $125 each, or the cost of the HET, whichever is less.

Single-family, townhouse and condo applicants may receive up to two (2) rebates per qualifying water account holder and must own and reside in the home at which they are replacing the toilet(s).

Property owners, and property managers who are authorized by property owners, of multi-family housing units, not-for-profit agencies, commercial buildings and institutional facilities may receive up to five (5) rebates or may submit a request to receive more.

Incentives

We are also providing free, low-flow water faucet aerators and shower heads to qualifying residential customers. You must bring us your old shower head in order to receive a new shower head; however, you do not need to bring us your old aerators. Water-efficient pre-rinse spray valves will also be available for commercial businesses.

Business owners we haven’t overlooked you. We are also offering free, pre-rinse spray valves to qualifying commercial businesses.

The City of Lauderhill is distributing aerators, shower heads, and dye kits on a first come first serve basis to our residents. Water-efficient pre-rinse spray valves will also be available for commercial businesses. Please bring a copy of your water bill and picture ID to City Hall to receive your water saving devices.
