Affordable Housing
The City of Lauderhill Grants Division offers a wide range of affordable housing services to provide accessible opportunities for income-eligible prospective and current residents, to participate in housing assistance programs administered under the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs.
Current housing assistance programs include:
Participation in the City’s housing programs is based on federal income guidelines and residency qualifications. Rehabilitation applications are assisted on a first qualified, first served basis. Purchase applications are assisted on a first qualified, first closed, first served basis.
Please be aware that application submittal is voluntary and some applicants may not be assisted. Assistance will be prioritized for households with greater needs including members with special needs, and very-low income.
All housing assistance provided by the City is secured by a first or second deferred, zero-interest loan secured by a mortgage and note with a term of up to 15 years, depending on the amount of assistance provided. The mortgage will be recorded in Broward County Public Records to this affect. The loan is satisfied once the affordable term has been met.
